Gospel Singer Tina Caught Her Husband Cheating; She Almost Killed Him

Gospel Singer Tina Campbell and Husband Teddy

Gospel Singer, Tina Campbell got married to her husband, Teddy, in 2000 and they have four kids together. But something happened in their marriage recently that threatened her “sanity” and that was when she caught her loving husband cheating on her with another woman.

Once I became aware, I initially wanted to kill my husband. I was considering adjusting the will, the living trust and all that kind of stuff. I did physically try to stab him…several times.”

She opened up on what is happening to she and her husband now. See what she said below…

After her interview was published on Ebony magazine, Tina posted a message to her fans on her website asking for prayers over her husband’s infidelity:

Hi fans and friends. It’s Tina. I hope all of you are well and I thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown my sister and I over the years.

Well, I’m actually writing you on behalf of my husband Teddy and I. I’m assuming that many of you have seen or heard about our article in Ebony that discussed the challenges of overcoming infidelity in our marriage. Well since the article, the challenges have worsened. My hope turned into hopelessness & despair and I became unwilling to forgive and fight, until God showed me myself.

My husband’s struggle, was with sexual immorality BUT I have struggled with anger, rage, unforgiveness, pride, just to name a few, for over 2 decades. The devil wanted to use strongholds that took hold of our lives in our childhood, to remain and destroy us as adults. So now instead of being mad at each other we’re mad at the devil and we’re ready to fight.

Today we began a 30 day fast (May 24th-June 22nd) for complete deliverance & restoration. If u are able to, please fast and/or pray daily that God would answer our prayers and give us a deeper love & commitment to him and to each other. We believe he still works miracles and he can give us the greatest marriage we could have ever imagined. We can pray alone BUT your prayers will certainly help…

Thanks in advance. Talk to you in 30 days.

really?!! what is not inspiring about this article? its about a marriage that is going through troubled times, but the two people involved have decided to go to God to help both of them fight for their love and their home. if that is not inspiring to couples that are about to or already married, then i don’t know what is. your comment is out of bounds!!

well, this may sound like a negative story, but in my opinion i feel what Wedding Digest is trying to make us realise is nothing is beyond healing. dis couple like anyother couple wld have opted for divorce cos its even Biblical in the case of infidelity, but the same Bible says is there no balm in Gilead? healing is not just for bodily ailment. healing can be extendded to every aspect of our lifes career, marriages, relationships, biz etc. wht i love abouth this story is the fact that both parties have seen their faults & are ready to face it & change for good. another lesson is any marriage can be attacked, wht matters is the ability to handle isssues wisely. i trust God that the latter end of this marriage will be more beautiful than the beginning in Jesus name Amen!

Well said Joy. That really is the essence of this article. You can choose to accept infidelity and live with the resultant self destructive anger and bitterness or you can choose to bravely forgive and experience the freedom it gives. Forgiveness does not mean idiotic forgetfulness though…

Joy you really took the words out of my mouth. This couple’s experience just goes to show that we are all humans and go through certain experiences that can either make us or break us. This couple took it upon themselves to cry out for help because they realized they are not going to make it on their own. Rather than condemning the magazine for publishing this story, how about you kneel down and pray on behalf of this particular couple that asked for it. It takes a lot for an individual to come out and open their private business to the public.

I wonder if the same sentiment would have been extended if it were SHE that cheated on him. Interesting.
