Popular On Air Personality, OAP, Toke Makinwa, has suggested that couples who have gone their separate ways over irreconcilable differences that can make things work out again if they are both willing.
Recall that Toke’s 18-month-old marriage to Ayida hit the rocks when the latter impregnated his longtime girlfriend, Anita Solomon.
The 31-year-old who recently divorced her husband, over adultery, cruelty and irreconcilable differences told Glam Africa Magazine that, “Matters of the heart are tough, incredibly tough. Cheating is bad; it is a cancer that eats you up; it destroys everything.
“People can come back from it. If both parties are willing and if the cheat understands what his or her actions cost their partner. And of course, with the grace of God, watching another person suffer for the choice you selfishly made is so heart breaking – that is what cheating does.
“People grow up, people change and everyone deserves a second chance as we ask God for forgiveness daily, but it may not be with each other.
“Sometimes the brokenness is irreparable and you can forgive someone without being in their lives.”
