I Am Prepared To Save My Marriage But It Seems Things Are Not Right In My Home

Hi WDN, I seriously need your advice. I’m a 28yr old married lady with no issue. I don’t want to lose my marriage. We are both from different nationalities. My husband is a Nigerian and he has been so good to me, but the problem is he always tells me I need deliverance. I have gone to Pentecostal churches but he still says the same thing. Ever since we got married, his business has not been moving on well and he says anytime he tells me about his business plans everything will be so difficult or even the business will fail before it even started. This has gotten to where we stay in different countries because of financial problems. This has been going on for almost 3yrs now. I love my husband very much and he loves me too, but these issue is straining me seriously. He tells me “let me find a Catholic church I will go to for deliverance”. I am prepared to do anything to save my marriage. I do pray, I do attend services, but this issue still persists. Please advice me on what to do.

Thank you and be blessed

I think ur husband is wrong to blame u for his failures. Also he shld know that there is power in spoken words (prov 18:21), so the more he says these things the more he will see them manifest in His life. The bible says he who finds a wife has obtained favour from The Lord (prov 18:22), this shld be his confession. He shld begin to call u a blessing and in his mind see you as one regardless of circumstances, and He wld see a turn around. The bible says “u shall eat the fruit of lips” (prov 18:20) and “u shall decree a thing, it shall be established” (Job 22:28) Secondly, does he treat u right? Bcos if a man doesn’t treat his wife right, he wld not be blessed and God will not hearken to His prayers. And clearly telling ur wife she needs deliverance and she is the cause of his failures is nt what God expects of a husband and is not how to love. There are better ways of voicing such concerns if he has any. Pls read Malachi 2:13-15 and refer Him to it. Lastly, what is ur relationship with God. Bcos U appear to believe the words of ur husband which indicate that u are not confident of urself in Christ, have u truly given ur life to Christ? And do u have a relationship with Him? Bcos the bible says that ” he whom the son sets free is free indeed” (John 8:36) and no one can call cursed whom God has not cursed (num 23:8)….so I think u shld work on ur relationship with God and set things right. And be mindful of not thinking of urself as a source of badluck to ur husband… bcos our thoughts open the door for demonic oppression and steer the course of our lives. The bible says ” as a man thinks in his heart so is he”..
