Love is like a friendship caught on fire, in the beginning it is like a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep burning and unquenchable. The lovely couple Ruvimbo and Tinashe has stood the test of time; their love has become unquenchable because even distance could not separate them. Ruvimbo met Tinashe for just few minutes before distance separated them as Tinashe had to further his studies Abroad. Their first meeting was an elusive memory, all they could both recollect is the sweetness of that minutes.

They lost communication shortly after because he never got to get her contact details but trust Tinashe, he did lots of research and with the help of his younger brother, he was able to get the full name of her and searched for her on face-book. They stayed in touch via the social media thereafter . Tinashe often come home to see his lovely bride-to-be but after every trip he made, it became more and more difficult to stay apart. Now Tinashe has decided it was time for him to stay forever and ever with Ruvimbo. He took the bold step and proposed to his lovely bride. And Of course, Ruvimbo said a big YES and they both cannot wait to spend the rest of their lives together. We wish them happy married life.

How they met ( By the Bride)
I was a young lady when I met the man I would eventually walk down the aisle with. This was in December 2006 when I was out for a walk in my neighbourhood. We spoke for not more than 5 minutes where he joined me for the walk ( much to my apprehension). Shortly afterward Tinashe travelled to Australia to pursue his Studies and as he tells me, I never escaped his mind although we did not stay in touch nor had we exchanged any personal details besides first names only.

In 2012 he found me again via social media after getting his brother in Zimbabwe to try as much to get my contact number. The brother failed on this but was able to get my surname. We started communicating and he organized a trip to come see me. This was the beginning of our long distance relationship. After every trip it became more and more difficult to be apart.

The Proposal (by the Groom)

After travelling several times between Australia and Zimbabwe to see Ruvimbo, I found myself in a Jewellers shop one day searching for a token of my love. I knew I loved her but the visits were not long enough for me to read out my love story to her as I needed a lifetime. My recent visit to Zimbabwe was a surprise and I made sure I upset her enough so she would not guess I was coming home but to my surprise as I touched down in Zimbabwe, she had cooled down and had flooded my whatsapp with messages. I held onto the ring for over a week waiting for the right opportunity and time to propose to her.

Each day during the one week of waiting, I kept wandering if she knew what was in the depth of my heart. Although, deep down my heart, I already knew I would ask her to marry me. I organised a photos-hoot one day and while we were posing for pictures, I felt it was at the right moment, I got down on one knee and proposed to her. I could feel the excitement and anxiety in her face. I really do love my baby and I am happy I am spending the rest of my life with her. We are both in love with each other. Love you forever
