We all pray for a marriage that stands the test of time, and hopefully, leads us to forever with the one we choose.
Consequently, Vow Renewal becomes a thing of necessity, when couples reach a milestone in their marriage, be it the fifth or eighth year, a decade, the silver, or golden jubilee. It usually calls for celebration, when couples hit that mark.
Now, Vow renewal may mean different things to different couples. For some, it is an avenue to reassure their partners that they mean the world to them, and that they are grateful they are still there for each other, while for others, it may mean the thrill of going back to where it all started, and reliving or recreating the very first processes that began their journey into forever. Whatever their reasons for having vow renewals, couples make sure they take ‘the second time’ to a whole different level of classy and different, putting in place, the little intricacies they may have missed out the first time.
When i say different, i mean, this time, they step out of the orthodox box; throwing caution to the wind!
With this, we see the Bride going for a pink, purple, green or even red dress, as opposed to the expected white dress.
Nonetheless, while vow renewing couples may go for different, others may want to stick to how it is known to be done, and also recreate some details from their actual wedding, while they are at it. So, they recreate their wedding cake, the Bride probably wears her actual wedding dress from years prior (that is if she can still get it to fit). Lol!
Ultimately vow renewals are such a sweet event to experience, and brings back butterflies, refreshens the marriage, and strengthens the relationship.
Now, let’s go remake those vows!!!!
