When two hearts are meant for each other, no distance is so far, no time is so long, and nothing can come between two people who are genuinely in love. This is the case of Abisola & Gbenga who met at a get–together party in California but their meeting was no ordinary meeting, it was a divine connection. As soon as their eyes met, they felt bound to each other and the connection within was never like before. It was as if in that moment “their hearts and minds, their very souls, were one.”
However, Abisola was to leave California to New jersey the next day because she was on a short holiday to the States. But that did not stop their connection from transiting, from glowing, into an inseparable love. Despite the distance between them, their love kept waxing stronger; the love they felt for each other was stronger than the miles between them. They made good use of the available technologies around them to stay perfectly in touch with each other, every minute of the hour and in every hour of the day.
Our Love Story
I was on holiday in California when I met Gbenga, my heartthrob. I had just a day left to spend before leaving for New Jersey (my Uncle’s place) to spend the rest of the holidays. My aunt’s pastor invited her and her family to a get together at his house but my aunt wasn’t sure if she could go with the visitors she had but her pastor agreed she could bring her visitors along. I was reluctant at first to go with her but I later changed my mind after my aunt and uncle persuaded me. When we got to her pastor’s house, he told me immediately he saw me that ‘I am a California candidate and he will definitely surprise me before leaving his house’. I didn’t read any meaning to it because everyone laughed after he made the statement.
However, I noticed he kept asking me random questions, also made sure I was comfortable and I had eaten (I assumed he was a nice pastor all along). All of a sudden, I saw a handsome dude in front of me, just saying hello (I still didn’t read any meaning to it). Then he went round to greet everyone seated. I later saw him discussing with the pastor but I ignored it and continued my conversation with my aunt. Five minutes later, pastor called my aunt to tell her not to allow me go yet that they (my aunt and uncle) should come back for me. When my aunt told me what pastor said, I became nervous and insisted that I wanted to follow them home. My aunt told me that she was leaving with her own husband that I should better sort out mine. Lol! Well, I reluctantly stayed back but when pastor introduced us, all the anxiety disappeared and there was an instant connection! In fact, Pastor had to persuade us to continue our conversation inside the house. Sadly, I had to leave for New Jersey the next day and back to Nigeria the following week, but it didn’t stop our love from growing despite the distance. The rest as they say is history
