It’s luv-all between Kanyinsola and Abiodun! This oh-so-sweet couple had a classical big day, full of love, laughter and all their family and friends…
How they met
Abiodun and i met through my cousin, Temitayo almost three years ago. My cousin did her internship where he works, and they remained friends even after she left. She kept telling me there was someone she really wanted me to meet but she could not do much as she was out of the country. She gave Abiodun my contact and we became friends. My first attraction was that he liked to talk a lot and that reminded me so much of my dad. We both decided to start as friends and not rush into anything. That really gave us the opportunity to know ourselves without any pressure. Few months later we both could not deny we liked ourselves beyond just friendship… and that was it!!
The Proposal
In Dec 2010, it was Abiodun’s birthday and he came to pick me from work for dinner. I noticed he was jittery all through the ride but I just didn’t pay much attention. And through the ride he kept asking if I was happy and I kept saying ‘very’. After dinner he started saying all these ‘ moo shy’ things and I was lost because I should be the one saying all that since it was his day.
Anyway, the waiter brought the bill in a plate all covered up and I was teasing on how tush the restaurant was trying to be.
So I opened it up and voila! It was a box with a note that read: ‘please be my wife’, I was shocked beyond words. Then he got down on one knee (yes,he did the one knee thing) and said the sweetest things , I was so happy and all I could say was yes because he makes me complete. The first person I called was my mum, she was so excited then my best friend, Ife who could not contain her joy.
Wedding planning
Wedding planning was a little stressful but my mum and the wedding planner handled most of it. And my aunts and friends were really helpful. Both days were perfect beyond my expectation
